How many of us out there actually directly train their bottoms ? How many of us out there realise the importance of them in their posture, their mobility and their stability?

 

Blokes say they target theirs doing squats. Have you seen some people's squatting styles; good mornings!

 

While to a certain extent squats do  activate the glutes, it's nowhere near the extent they need to be fired. Their glute-leg ratio is disproportionate because their quads take over and hypertrophy during their lower body work, so actual glute activation is minimum. Muscular legs aren't the problem, undertrained glutes are.

The gluteuos Maximus is the biggest muscle in the human body and is our powerhouse during movement, but in lots of us (especially the seated majority of the population) this massive muscle is fast asleep; so let's wake up this sleeping giant.

 

The bottom line is that the gluteus maximus is very important in all functional activities; sports, strength and performance training and body aesthetics as well as injury prevention.

 

If we fail to maximize the progression and development of our hip strength and power, we’re missing out big time.

 

Who doesn't want a nice booty, here's a short clip of one exercise that has been proven to specifically target your drooping bottom it's also one of the best exercises that targets all three gluteal muscles. Just remember, start light and do it right, concentrate on the mind muscle connection. Like a lot of new exercises its not initially about the weight it's about the muscular contraction.
